Victorian Branch Report

Victorian Members are invited to attend a special Christmas lunch this month on Wednesday 29th November 2023 at the South Melbourne Community Centre, starting at 12:30pm.

Please bring a friend! (See discount below).

The lunch menu including drinks will consist of platters of food as follows:
Mini Arancini (variety)
Quiches – Lorraine
Quiches – Onion & Mushroom
Dolmades Vegan
Party Pies
Sausage Rolls
Filo Triangle – Spinach Ricotta
Filo Triangle – Chicken & Mushroom
Wine and soft drinks will be provided.

After generous subsidy from PS Superannuants, the cost of this special lunch will be $10 per person.
We encourage you to bring a colleague, partner or friend where the subsidised cost will be $15 for both of you. (Yes, we are aiming to build up our Membership through this special event! Currently working or retired public servants are eligible to join our Association, along with your spouse. If you bring more than one person, each person in your party pays $7:50.)

Timings for this event are:
12:30pm to 1:30PM – Lunch and Social Mingling
1:30 to 3PM – Presentation by CSC Member Education Team (via Zoom)

Also our special Guest Speaker is David Zakharoff, Manager Member Education, CSC.
Topic: Defined Benefits and other government Superannuation – for retirees and current government workers.

Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) manages the Commonwealth super fund – ie the Super SA equivalent.

If you are not mobile or within commuting distance, the online part of the meeting begins at 1:30pm AEST (Melbourne) time.

Future Victorian meetings will be held on the last Wednesday of March, June, September and November, commencing at 12:30 with refreshments and the guest speaker hybrid presentation commencing at 1:30pm. The March 27, 2024 topic is expected to be on Travel.
